Mastering the crown

 To master your crown, you need to start researching and also being conscious about what works best with your hair. With that being considered I'd like to advice you to start your hair journey. A journey of self realization , I assure you from experience you will reap good fruits. There are different approaches to a hair journey such as a big chop; entails starting a fresh by chopping all or a bit of your hair  or transitioning; changing from processed hair to natural . What the approaches have in common is that they both need a lot of patience, which shouldn't be hard because the point is to enjoy the process.

The big chop;

I had my first (haha yes first) big chop , after widely researching on the natural hair movement. I was mesmerized by the embrace of natural hair because at the time I was so used to processed or having hair blow dried. It was as if it was a taboo to have an all out flourishing afro. Therefore, it was refreshing to see that people were starting to acknowledge their roots .I took down all the notes, read blogs and watched all type of videos but I missed the most important thing: With everything you invest your time in , resources or make decisions about ensure you meditate on the reason behind what your doing and the result you want. Before your big chop open yourself to possibilities. I expected to have curly hair and when I cut my hair realising that I had coily hair. I was not content , which made me frustrated and desperate to get the exact results I wanted. Therefore, I wasted money on  products I didn't necessarily need. When I realised my journey was becoming negative , I looked inside myself . After an amount of self reflection I decided to experiment with my hair and when I was content I did another big chop and now I am proud to say that it was worth it. The big chop involves shaving your processed hair or cutting your damaged ends in order to start a healthy natural hair journey.
