 Taking care of your hair should be included in your hygienic routine. It is maintained well when daily hair care becomes a routine. Hair care routines personalised to meet your specific needs , are known as a regimen. It involves a timetable, the prosses and your hair care instruments and products. A good regimen should be simple and effective. The main aim of a regimen is to ensure proper moisturisation of the hair .It also makes sure your hair is looking healthy and fresh . Simple practices you can implement everyday to ensure your hair is protected includes:

  1. Protect your hair while sleeping by wearing a silk bonnet, scarf or sleeping on a satin pillow case; this prevents breakage through friction.
  2. Wash your hair to remove build-up. How often you wash your hair will depend on your hair type, porosity , how often you style and what shampoo you use.
  3. Be aware of how you handle your hair don't rub it on surfaces.
  4. Detangle your hair to make it easier to style and to prevent knots.
  5. Moisturise your hair properly.
  6. Do special treatments to boost hair health.

When my hair is not in protective style, my hair routine involves:

  • Moisturising my hair daily in the morning and night.
  • Tending to my hairline with hair growth stimulating oils.
  • Every night I detangle and stretch it to make it easier to style.
  • sleeping with a silk head scarf
  • On Thursday I Co wash and condition my hair .
  • Lastly on Sunday, I deep condition or do a deep treatment.
  • I only shampoo when my hair has build up.
